our love story

After matching online in November 2019, Bruce invited Lauren to meet the very next day at the TBaar in Manayunk. Taken aback by the quick turnaround offer, Lauren decided that she was interested in meeting him. Instantly clicking, Bruce and Lauren ordered Bubble Tea and played Jenga on their first date (where Lauren soundly beat him). Bruce then walked Lauren to her car and gave her a kiss on the cheek. The rest is history!

Bruce and Lauren spent the months leading up to the 2020 shutdown going on dates and getting to know each other (between class, work, and extracurriculars). When the world shut down due to COVID, they spent two months going for walks, hikes, and picnics in the woods. Bruce provided the musical soundtrack by playing either classical piano, Eve 6, or Third Eye Blind, with Lauren enjoying the serenade and company. In early May of 2020, they took their first trip together to the Jersey shore and it quickly became one of their favorite places to escape to. With a healthy blend of chemistry, artistry, and romance, Bruce and Lauren soon became inseparable. Bruce and Lauren's relationship became the glue that held them together amidst so many drastic life changes (the pandemic, job transitions, and a Master's Degree). With bright eyes and warm hearts, Bruce and Lauren are both very excited to begin their lives together as husband and wife!
